BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION
My name is Heather Collins, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a psychotherapy practice in Berkeley, California.
With more than 20 years of professional experience, I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, stage of life transition, grief/loss, and self-esteem.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person's unique needs. Clients have expressed appreciation for my direct, empathic and insightful style.
I received a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Tulane University, where I also completed my undergraduate degree with honors in psychology. Additionally, I completed an intensive post-graduate training program at The San Diego Psychoanalytic Center.
For the past 5 years, I have overseen the mental health programming in elementary schools in the Albany School District.
